I'm an active member of my community and an advocate for getting women and families outside. I have been a guide with TPL for the Great Ocean Road trek and shared my trail running diary when I began. I'm currently sharing my 10 challenges campaign to raise awareness of domestic violence with readers and the HUB. Most of all, I love that we are a tribe of women who support each other, in adventures great and small, we encourage , we shout out and we praise awesomeness on all levels. We celebrate our love of adventure and the outdoors.
I’m not about the ‘epic’, ‘super fit’ or ‘unbelievable’. My adventure is attainable for the average girl, woman and mother. In an age where people are trying to be more outrageous, bigger, better and healthier I am striving to gain the most out of a busy and ordinary life. I understand the benefits of being outdoors for a persons’ mental and physical wellbeing. If I can motivate and inspire someone else to get out of the house, off the internet and spend time with their family, well - that can only be a good thing. I choose happiness for myself, my family and my friends.
I spend my weekdays as a sustainability consultant and my weekends in nature - enjoying hikes and trail running, and challenging myself to get a bit outside my comfort zone. Being surrounded by strong and supportive women, and being outdoors is so key to mental health and managing the day to day with all the stresses that come with it. I look forward to connecting with many other readers, and hope to see you out on the trails soon!
I’m Fiona, 32, and after a few stints of living between regional Victoria and Japan and South Korea I have recently found my new home in Launceston. I moved here to live a more active and adventurous life, exploring Tasmania’s incredible natural wonders and eating all the amazing food too! I love walking around Cataract Gorge as much as possible and hope to take on longer (and harder) hikes all over Tasmania as I get more experience. My greatest accomplishment to date was kayaking 404km down the Murray River in 5 days last November for the Massive Murray Paddle!
I have recently moved from my beloved Melbourne to London with my partner in search of further adventures. I grew up in regional Victoria and have begun to rediscover my passion for getting outside through hiking and camping. In between my weekend adventures I am another office slave, amateur cook and coffee enthusiast.
Hello fellow adventurers! I am a mum, physio/scientist and ultra-runner.
I have been in the adventure space for 20+ years, but I particularly love long exploratory, trail runs with close friends. I also have a curiosity for exploring limits, which has resulted in crazy adventures such as running a 240km ultra-marathon from the NSW coast to the top of Mt Kosciuszko!
I am a big believer in the power of exercise, so through my work I am investigating how we can use exercise to help people with chronic pain. I am an avid supporter of TPL and very excited to be part of this inspiring team.

Hi! I’m Andrea and I’m the founder of Ladybirds Outdoor Adventures, an outdoors recreational activities group for women aged over 40.
The Ladybirds recently became a NFP group affiliated with Bushwalking Victoria. My leadership team and I offer exceptional experiences to this niche and growing market of older women in the hiking and adventure space. We provide a supportive, non-threatening and non-competitive environment.
Personally, I also enjoy some solo hiking and I like to write about some of my experiences on my less-than-serious blog getlostwithandybee.com. I love TPL mag and have been a long time subscriber. I'm so proud to be an Ambassador for TPL.
Laboratory Manager, weekend adventure seeker, amateur photographer, constant “researching the next trip” expert. Wife to a fireman, mother to an adventurous 5year old hiking sidekick. Living in Cairns, Tropical North Queensland I love adventure, travel, hiking and chasing the sunrise on top of a mountain. I enjoy exploring places that are remote, untouched and wild. I have a passion for science, the environment and sustainability. Described as that "annoying happy morning person, energizer bunny" I surround myself with those who bring me energy and inspire me. Boldest travel decision- selling our 4wd to fund a trip to Antarctica.
Kylie (and her daughter Ava) was also the winner of our Happy Place Cover Photo Competition: Issue #15 :).
I’ve been a big fan of Travel Play Live Magazine for a long time. As an ex-newsagent I was always happy to see the latest issue arrive in store. I have never had any interest in fashion, beauty and gossip magazines...TPL was inspiring and adventurous...not just for extraordinary women but ordinary women too. My biggest passion is hiking...healthy for both the body and mind.
I entered a TPL Magazine photo competition and to my surprise I won and became the covergirl for Issue #12 standing topless on Prest Mountain in Norway...whoops...no regrets...live life!

I reside in Melbourne with my husband and our three super cute little rascals. When I’m not playing the role of taxi driver, negotiator, and sometimes climbing pole for my kids, I like to get outdoors, explore and photograph all the beauty and earthy connection that nature provides. I’m a chocolate-loving nemophilist with a great sense of adventure. I’m very keen to pursue the farthest expanses of Earth, (the more remote the better) all the while capturing the awe-inspiring sensations, moments and stories felt in nature that might inspire others to pursue the great outdoors.
