Australian Lisa Blair becomes First Woman to Solo Circumnavigate Antarctica
"JUST DO… BECAUSE THE WORLD IS CHANGED BY DOERS".
It comes as no surprise that these are words Lisa Blair lives by. The 32-year old Australian yachtswoman has just become the first female to solo circumnavigate Antarctica. Lisa was welcomed back in Albany in Western Australia on Tuesday, 25 July 2017 after 104 days at sea with her 15.25 metre, aptly named boat Climate Action Now, clocking a cool 1900 nautical miles. The epic sailing adventure took a total of 185 days as a de-masting at sea forced Lisa to spend time in Cape Town for repair works.
