Donna-Lou Nixon Completes 13-Day Solo, Unassisted SUP and Cycle Adventure and Takes Me-Time to Another Level
If you ever feel that you need some serious alone time (and we don’t mean the type that involves Netflix and an endless supply of dark chocolate and wine) then we have just the story for you.
Donna-Lou Nixon has just returned home from a 13-day solo, unassisted SUP and cycle adventure that took her from Toukley to Taree. These are the impressive stats:
- 258km of stand up paddle boarding and 55km of cycling
- 9 lakes, 7 rivers, 6 bays, 5 creeks, 1 broadwater and 1 passage
- 1 shark, 1 chicken friend, many wonderful people
Donna-Lou says she had been toying with the idea for a while. “Just because I am over 50 doesn't mean I have to act like I am on the wind down towards a comfortable future on the lounge…”
Regardless of age – let’s all take this as inspiration and motivation that as always it’s turning a dream into reality where adventure and personal growth reside.
